Setting the Research Agenda
The Geneva Water Hub is proud to invite you to the public restitution of four research projects which benefited from the Research Network Consolidated Grants in hydropolitics.
The four researchers representing Institutes/Universities will share their findings on: MONDAY 27 NOVEMBER 2017, from 14:30 to 17:30, in room M4050, UNIMAIL, University of Geneva.
Background: In January 2016, The Geneva Water Hub launched a Research Network dealing with the scientific and societal challenges that the water sector is facing. Adopting an interdisciplinary perspective, mostly grounded in social sciences, the Research Network supports studies that consider the diversity of scales and/or geographical areas. Founded upon previous scientific achievements (doctoral thesis, post-doc), the research projects focus on:
- “Everyday Politics of Water: Water Reform Policies to Water Resource Configuration in Rural Africa” by Jeltsje S.Kemerink, PhD, UNESCO-IHE, The Netherlands.
- “Policy Challenges and Network Governance in Vietnam's Urban Sanitation Management” by Mi N'Guyen, EAWAG, Switzerland.
- “Arrangements institutionnels dans la régulation de l'accès aux ressources naturelles du bassin du Lac Tchad: règles formelles et règles informelles” by Komlan Sangbana, UNIGE/ISE, Switzerland.
- “Community Management of Rural Water supply in Malawi: Part of the Sustainability Problem, and not the Solution” by Ellie Chowns, Univesity of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
